Since the beginning of May 2013, AIR and partners In-Cycle (UK) + SOEX (Germany), get funded by Eco TLC for a 14 month project around footwear recycling. The aim is to set up the worlds first economic viable industrial footwear recycling line. Among the majors challenges: development of grinding and separation technology, creation of novel high value applications for recovered materials and establishment of a network of possible material processors and end-users.
